Abstrakt: The article presents an essay that discusses the varying physical sales that digital media engage. The essay explains the use of digital media in a course on American slavery, beginning with a portrait as seen on the web in the classroom, and extending into a smartphone-based tour that takes students out into the city streets. The course uses tours and materials already on the website of the New York Historical Society.
