| Abstrakt: | The article features U.S. drummer Adam Cruz. "Milestone" is his debut album as the leader of his band. He composed all of the music in the album, which features instrumental world jazz, swing, funk and salsa. He relates how his father Ray Cruz, a timbalero, influenced his drumming. He explains his drumming technique particularly his approach to harmony. He states that pianists Danilo Pérez and Chick Corea encouraged him to develop his drumming skills. |
