A recommender system recommends apparently useful information users might apply to achieve their apparent goals. Most of these systems base their recommendations on content: they propose pages that, by their content, could be of interest to the user. We want to apply this idea to adaptive user interfaces. We have done a test with 60 users over a digital library. The system suggests the inclusion in the interface of library elements that are frequently accessed by the user. After the test, the users filled in a questionnaire with their opinions about the recommendations. Then we have analyzed these opinions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
