The article discusses a Roman necropolis in Castellaccio, Italy. It describes the location of the necropolis in terms an ancient roadway and modern landmarks. Then the composition of the necropolis as a whole itself is described. Diagrams and photographs of the burial complex are also included. Finally, individual graves are considered in terms of burial practices, graves goods, and groupings among the graves. The author highlights the contents of graves of women and children buried in the necropolis. |
