Abstrakt: Chapter 11 of the book "Forensic Mental Health Nursing: Forensic Aspects of Acute Care," edited by Alyson Kettles, Phil Woods, Richard Byrt, Mary Addo, Michael Coffey, and Mike Doyle is presented. It offers information about the pharmacaust and its significant role in nursing forensic mental health patients. It raises the query on psychiatric over-dependency on its application and its harmful effect on patients. It points out that nurses encountered issues such as the choice of treatment.
