An essay is presented on China's Law on the Application of Law for Foreign-Related Civil Legal Relationships (LAL). It says that the law is the first legislation in China to deal with conflict of laws and that it will have far-reaching impacts on foreign countries with private interactions with the nation. It explores the general issues of LAL and examines specific topics, including personal law, contract and tort, and law of immovables and movables. |
