Abstrakt: The article reports on the 18 days that filled Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt with freedom fighters that toppled Hosni Mubarak's dictatorship. The author, an Egyptian journalist, arrived in Tahrir Square from New York City on January 31st to join the hundreds of thousands of Egyptians demanding their basic democratic rights. He describes the harrowing police brutality of February 2nd, which led to stone throwing he participated in by gathering stones. He says on February 11th, as the crowds were on their way to the palaces from Tahrir, Mubarak resigned.
