Abstrakt: Since the beginning of human societies, religion has been one of the basic and necessary institutions. Religion, an important institution with sensitive and differential characteristics, upholds societies, and strengthens human bonds and national solidarity. When neglected and exploitated, it leads to some irretrievable loss at every stage in history. Lots of Turks have settled in the various regions of the United States of America. The Turkish immigration to this country goes back for many years. Religious services could not, however, be offered to the Turks living in the US by the Turkish Republic and the Office of Religious Affairs for a long time. The Turks have been through much trouble over this period. While there have been important and positive developments in this regard since the 1990s, the religious services offered today is still insufficient and the number of places where such services are available is limited. As of July 2010, only 15 chaplains were engaged in providing religious services in the entire United States. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
