The article offers insight on the 100 years celebration of American Camp Association in 2010. Particular focus was given to the founders of ACA who led the way since its first year in 1910. It notes that ACA is indebted to Eleanor Ells, author of "History of Organized Camping: The First 100 Years in 1986," who wrote on the various periods of the development of organized camping. Meanwhile, ACA in 2005 has rolled out a new brand identity and changed its name to American Camp Association®. |
