The article discusses the important role played by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) both as an advisor and regulator in bankruptcy cases in the U.S. It claims on the SEC's involvement in bankruptcy which has intensified in recent years with the dominance of equity committees. It cites the symposium "The SEC in Bankruptcy: Past, Present and Future," conducted to bring together prominent scholars and practitioners of bankruptcy law to discuss the SEC's changing roles in bankruptcy. |
