| Abstrakt: | The article describes the events during the two Gala Evenings sponsored by the Kulturstiftung Dessau Wörlitz, in celebration of Villa Hamilton in Stone Island being part of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage List for 10 years, on August 21-22, 2010. Both evenings featured a strolling Dixieland jazz band, a gondola ride along the lake and waterways of Wörlitz, and an orchestrated eruption of Mount Vesuvius. |
