The article focuses on the usage of less adversarial trials (LAT) in settling litigations involving separated parents and their children via judicial determination. The author cites various features of LAT including the judicial settling of issues, attendance of expert witness, and judicial identification of evidences. Moreover, it is implied that Australia's Family Court gives most consideration to the welfare of children urging its judges to take a more active role in the proceedings. |
