Abstrakt:	The article discusses school enrollment projections and addresses reasons why they can be incorrect, including poor record keeping, ignorance of student mapping, and incorrect use of data and planning reports. The cost of projection errors for school budgets is emphasized. The author suggests that school districts use long-range planning measures, improvements in training for district planning, and the use of a rolling five-year strategy involving computer mapping of school zones.
