| Abstrakt: |
The article relates the authors' experience in performing folk music in Alberta schools. Their performances included Canadian and western content and they have used folk song in the context of storytelling, games and social history. They were able to charge a lower fee due to a higher rate for commercial concerts and a subsidy grant from Alberta Culture. Performing with colleagues Anne Andersen, Michael Cass-Beggs and Calvin Cairns is one of the highlights of their experiences. |
