The article profiles antique clock collector Jim Hartog. He purchases antique clocks on eBay and restores them in the basement of his home in Whitby, Ontario. Hartog is a retired schoolteacher who has the ability to make antique clocks look and tick like they were brand new. The article features several antique clocks from Hartog's collection which include the circa 1901 long-drop regulator wall clock by Ansonia in Connecticut, the circa 1870s 8-day Ogee clock by Gilbert in Connecticut, and the mission wall clock by New Haven circa 1907. |
