The article focuses on immigration, intercultural communication and social dynamics in two urban areas of the Balearic Islands in Spain. The author discusses the social impact of the arrival of immigrants in Pere Garau and Son Gotleu (Balearic Islands, Spain) from 1996 to 2009, considers the functions of immigrant associations and explores the interaction between these associations. He also compares the social conditions in these areas before and after the significant influx of non-European immigrants in the early 2000s. |
