| Abstrakt: | The article presents a message from the president of the American Bamboo Society. He discusses the damage of winter on bamboos. He also cites the effects of winter in Florida in bamboo species such as Bambusa chungi, Bambusa dolichomerithalla Green and Silver Stripe, and Bambusa eneiensis Viridiflavus. The high carbon sequestration potential of bamboos is highlighted. The president also cites that bamboo can help lessen the climate change through its biomass. |
