Abstrakt: The article presents the game developer's postmortem for the independent game Shank developed by Klei Entertainment and published by EA Partners. Among the things listed that went right include the decision to exhibit a playable demo at PAX 2009 and the creation of three essential tools for content creators like the Shanker. Among the things that went wrong include the late stage at which the art lock down was done and a need for a better approach to a player's learning experience at PAX demos. A feeling of satisfaction is presented in the conclusion.
