The article describes the case of the prevalence of Heterodoxus spiniger Enderlein in dogs. H. spiniger, dog louse, is surveyed among 161 stray dogs and 39 pet dogs from January to December of 2007. The study shows 179 being infested with the dog louse and mostly seen on brown and white colored dogs. The dogs' hair condition does not affect H. spiniger's prevalence as well as sex of the dog. However, the study shows higher incidence in stray dogs in older dogs than in pet dogs. |
