The treatment of urinary stress incontinence with particular consideration of physiotherapeutic methods.

Abstrakt: Urinary stress incontinence is not only a serious clinical problem, but also a complicated socio - psychological problem, because it results in disorders of psychical condition as well as family life of patients. More and more modern methods of treating urinary incontinence are available nowadays. The aim of the paper is to present the current knowledge, opinions and progress concerning the treatment of patients with urinary incontinence. First of all, conservative forms of therapy should be considered, although surgery still remains the basic treatment and it is a chosen therapy It needs to be emphasized that success in therapy of stress urinary incontinence is a result of cooperation of various specialists included in the therapeutic team, of established conservative and surgical procedures which are suitable for a particular patient.
