Abstrakt: The article presents a study concerning the discovery of medieval mural paintings located on the second floor of a 13th century stone building in Viviers, France. The author describes some of the paintings such as the one showing Saint Georges fighting a dragon. According to historian Marie-Claude Léonelli, the style of the design can be traced to the early 13th century. Also described is the painting on the opposite wall which show traces of palmettes. The function and purpose of the room and the conservation of the religious painting are discussed.
