Abstrakt: | The article focuses on women's premenstrual issues in crime and criminal justice in Australia. It notes that premenstrual tension lacks credibility as a syndrome in certain parts of the community and feminists fear that its application in the courts will revive biological deterministic theories of male superiority which remains to be the cause of controversy and dissension in both the medical and legal professions. It cites research that associates premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and deviant criminal behaviour and discusses possible ways that PMS could be applied in the courts. |
