| Abstrakt: |
The article reports on research which was conducted to investigate mortality rates and assess predictors of all-cause mortality in a cohort of injection drug users in Thailand who were enrolled and followed up from 2004 through 2006. Researchers evaluated 314 drug users. They found that the all-cause mortality among the drug users was high and that the increased mortality was associated with HIV infection, benzodiazepine use, and excessive alcohol consumption. |
