Abstrakt: The article focuses on the development of cancer vaccines. It states that dendritic cells, which are the primary antigen-presenting cells in the cellular immune response, are being grown in laboratories for use as cancer vaccines. It mentions that immune alterations in cancer are being unraveled using molecular biology and identifying biomarkers of clinical efficacy. It comments that three methods of creating melanoma vaccines are under investigation utilizing dendritic cells.
