Abstrakt: The article focuses on the life and works of Australian writer Randolph Stow. The author talks about the writer's connection with his family. Stow's first novel "A Haunted Land" was published in 1956 and was written after being inspired by Stevie's Smith's "Novel on Yellow Paper" as well as to appease his father. The writer talks about his father's role in his literate upbringing. His novel "To the Island" has broke new ground for Australian fiction.
