Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study concerning a pair of urban Desert Eagle Owls, their breeding and food habits as well as habitat selection in Hurghada, Egypt. It notes that the study involved visual observations and prey remains. Pellets and prey remains recovered from the site indicate that the Brown Rat stands as the common prey of the owl which is also called Bubo ascalaphus. It adds that winter to early spring serves as their primary breeding period.
