Abstrakt: |
The article discusses a new method developed by the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) Commercial Services unit for guiding closure selection. It is noted that improper packaging oxygen transmission rate (OTR) could result in loss of fresh fruit characters. The closure trial conducted by AWRI in 1999 concluded that every closure technology produced a different wine. Details of the new method that addresses the shortcomings of conventional methods are presented. |
