Abstrakt: The article discusses the evolution of new knowledge in weight training, which is an essential part of a balanced fitness program. It also discusses functional training and sports physiotherapy and changes in the training programs implemented by personal trainers as they gain new knowledge. Fitness training has evolved from sit-ups and body-part exercises to exercises that focus on functional training and that improves core stability such as oblique sling exercises.
