The article presents an interview with Mark B. McClellan, the former administrator of the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. When asked whether he is surprised about interest which has been generated in response to accountable care organizations, McClellan says that the interest is not surprising. He comments on factors related to the successful implementation of the organizations. McClellan believes that private sector leadership is needed for health care reform in the U.S. |
