The article offers information on electronic or technical textiles, also known as Smart Fabrics. It notes that aside from having the wearable capabilities of e-textiles like any garment, the smart fabrics have also local monitoring, computation and wireless communication capabilities. It reveals that e-textiles are integrated with sensors and computational elements and were built into yarns which aims to gather sensitive information and monitor vital statistics. |
