| Abstrakt: |
The article reports on the budget shortfall that the U.S. Department of Defense will experience as a result of the non-passage of the 2011 defense budget in U.S. Congress. According to Lawrence Korb, a former assistant secretary of Defense, the shortfall will not impact the military because of the absence of new programs and manpower. The effect of the shortfall on the Joint Strike Fighter and the Littoral Combat Ship programs is mentioned. |
