Abstrakt: The article discusses the Napoleonic Wars in the Balkans in the early 19th century, considering the political context from an international relations viewpoint. The author examines the repercussions of the tensions between the Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and Russian empires, the 1804 Serbian Uprising, and the defeat of the French at the Battle of Austerlitz in 1805. The Napoleonic Wars and their results for nationalist movements are analyzed in the territories of the Illyrian Provinces, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
