The article presents a survey of the traditional costume of women in the Garasia tribe in Rajasthan, India. Respondents say that they only wear one type of garment called Jhulki and that very few women have started wearing blouse instead of Jhulki. It offers information on the design details of the female upper garment, fabric details, color choice, fabric prints, and decoration. Information on the lower garment, headdress, jewelry, tattoos and footwear worn by Garasia women is also provided. |
