Abstrakt:	The article introduces the Windows Phone 7 application platform and provides an overview of the Windows Phone Developer Tools and the creation of a Windows Phone application that accesses a Web service. It points out that the Windows Phone 7 application platform is based on Silverlight and the XNA Framework which when combined allows the development of applications with beautiful UIs and stunning graphics that can leverage the capabilities of a mobile device. It indicates that Windows Phone 7 offers a lot of possibilities that need to be explored.
