The article discusses a study that analyzed Pinot Noir clones at the Tamar Ridge microvinification facility in Tasmania in 2007 and 2008. Several wines were made at the facility from up to 13 different clones using 10 to 15 kilograms of fruit per ferment. The article describes the clones tested, the attributes of the vineyard, and the composition of the fruit. Findings show that the variation in tannins and colour are especially useful, along with sensory perceptions. |
