Hindi Cinema: It's Changed, But for the Better?

Abstrakt: The article focuses on the transformation in the Indian movies as compared to the previous decades. It states that modern Indian films were successful but they differ from the movies of the 50s to the 90s in terms of commercial aspects. It discusses the differences of the modern Indian films from those of the past including the disappearance of man-made "dhishum-dhishum" sound of socked belly or jaw and the use of Western dances and Punjabi folk dance and music style.
