Abstrakt: This article presents a study which evaluated an integrated mathematical model developed for simulating the biosurfactant-enhanced bioremediation (BEB) processes under a typical Canadian site condition. In-situ bioremediation is known as an effective technology for cleaning petroleum-contaminated sites. The model featured modules of multiphase multicomponent flow and transport, biological degradation, and biosurfactant-enhanced remediation. The study results are detailed.
