| Abstrakt: | The article reports on the number of catastrophic multiple-death fires in the U.S. in 2009. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), there were 21 fire incidents that occurred which include 10 residential fires with 59 deaths, five non-residential fires with 20 deaths, and 6 non-structural fire incidents with 21 deaths. It says that the data obtained by the NFPA came from reviewing the national and local news media, which include fire service publications. |
