Abstrakt: The article discusses the discovery of a lipid transfer protein (LPT) identified as an immunoglobulin E (IgE)-binding antigen from the pollen of Cryptomeria japonica, also known as Japanese cedar. The discovered antigen, named CJP-8, along with cDNA would encode a 165-amino acid polypeptide that possess the conserved eight cysteines aspects of plant LTP family members.
