Abstrakt:	The author discusses how Canada's Temporary Foreign Workers Program helps the government of Manitoba lure needed foreign workers to the province. After workers have arrived in the province, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program allows the workers to apply for landed immigrant status after only six months of residence in Manitoba. Manitoba’s immigration policy is based on the province’s Action Strategy for Economic Growth which established Growing Through Immigration as part of its long-term economic development plan for the province.
