Abstrakt: The article presents information on a study which examined the role of the internalization of prosocial values in preventing school bullying. The researchers examined the different kinds of internalization as posited by the self-determination theory. They also assessed the correlations between bullying, internalization and the children's sense of relatedness in class. They also suggest that teacher behavior and school policy that aim to prevent school bullying must focus on the maximization of students' prosocial values and the minimization of students' external regulation.
