Abstrakt: The article discusses the role of denser knitwear fabrics in protecting the people from ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It notes that during the ancient times, people wear clothes for protection, comfort and adornment, but as of April 2010, advanced material technology turns clothing into a protection against skin cancer. A research in Hong Kong found that denser fabrics provide greater UV protection because its small micropores provide less space for UV radiation to pass through them.
