The author discusses the case involving New York Mets player Francisco Rodriguez, who punched his father-in-law inside of Citi Field stadium. The author cites the chance for the Major League Baseball (MLB) Players' Union, the Mets, and Rodriguez to change for the better and restore common sense in labor issues. A union's role is to obtain a collective bargaining agreement for its members and enforce a worker's rights if the agreement is violated. The author believes that some of the privileges of MLB players has spun out of control due to bad behavior,. |
