The article presents a study on the cloning of the S1 gene of the avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV). The researchers amplified immunogenic S1 gene from Massachusetts (mass) vaccine strain, which was cloned in pTZ57R/T cloning vector. They cloned the S1 gene in pTZ57R/T cloning vector because of its properties like sequencing using primer M12/PUC, multiple cloning sites and blue white screening. They also used restriction enzyme digestion for the final confirmation of the clone. |
