| Abstrakt: | An interview with Harold Alexander Lutchman who served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Guyana is presented. When asked how Doctor Cheddi Jagan's People's Progressive Party (PPP) fell apart so quickly, he said that the party came under pressure as a result of the Suspension of the Constitution in 1953. Lutchman believed that the PPP was undone by its own radicalism. He said that the PPP did not understand the geopolitical framework in which their activities would be seen. |
