| Abstrakt: | The article discusses the career and investment advising of loan businessman Dick Hain. Emphasis is given to his successful efforts at preventing a financial takeover of Pioneer Finance Company of Detroit, Michigan. The takeover and merger with General Acceptance Corporation left shares belonging to preferred stockholders such as Hain worthless. The article describes Hain's organization of stockholders to oppose the transaction until they received a buy out of their shares. |
