| Abstrakt: |
The article presents a study conducted to determine whether wearing fixed orthodontic appliances influence toothbrushing forces. The study comprised 30 children with planned fixed appliance therapy and aged 10-15 years. It is stated that the toothbrush used was a specially-designed electronic instrument that measured the absolute pressures applied to the head of the brush. It was concluded from the study that orthodontic appliances did not reduce toothbrushing forces. |
