Chapter 9 of the book "John, Paul, George, Ringo & Me: The Real Beatles Story," by Tony Barrow, edited by Julian Newby, is presented. This chapter reflects on the threatening experience of Beatles during their concert tour in the Philippines wherein their attacker was the dictator Ferdinand Marcos for the accusation of snubbing the first lady. It looks at the statement of John Lennon during his interview with the London "Evening Standard" journalist Maureen Cleave that were considered a crime. |
