The author reflects on the things and ways that Group of Eight (G8) leaders will consider to promote an open international economy and improve human rights and the environment. He notes that the expansion of economic cooperation is the most important challenge in the face of increased protectionist pressures, along with the promotion of humane political values by individuals, churches, and corporations. He cites the need to use limited resources in a wise manner to promote environmental change. |
