Abstrakt: The article focuses on the 2006 amendments in relation to parents and non-parents. It notes that the changes to the 2006 legislation have no background materials to support the idea that the legislature aimed to create barriers or presumptions against non-parents. It cites that the 2006 amendments had to do with children having a positive relationship with both parents. It also discusses the Aldridge v. Keaton lawsuit which negates the claim that 2006 amendments downgrade non-parents.
